From Mercedes-Benz Press Release
Striking radiator grille, expressive front apron and rear diffuser as well as eye-catching headlamps, just like the original: Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG present the seventh generation of the Bobby-AMG children's ride-on car. The sports car of the Mercedes-AMG GT series once again served as the model for the new Bobby-AMG. The design of the new Bobby-AMG GT has been completely revised to improve fun and ergonomics.
The Bobby-AMG is available in two versions: in hyper blue (with LED lighting) or in sun yellow (without lighting). In version with lights, the lamps (front daytime driving lights, tail lamps) and the indicators for changing direction on the left and right can be switched on using a keypad in the cockpit. The headlamps and tail lamps of both variants are fitted with clear glass lenses for a high-quality look. The vehicle is steered with a steering wheel in Mercedes-AMG design. In contrast to the predecessor model, the radiator grille, front splitter and rear diffuser have been realised as individual parts and not as stickers. The stickers for the display, the AMG crest for the bonnet, the star for the boot lid and the satellite buttons for the steering wheel are included in the scope of delivery. Whisper tyres with original Michelin design ensure a good grip on asphalt and pleasantly quiet rolling. The rims are realised in AMG cross-spoke design in matt black based on the original vehicle.
Better ergonomics for more playing and driving fun
In addition to the design of the Bobby-AMG, the ergonomics have also been significantly revised and greatly improved. The narrower and lower seat pad enables a more comfortable sitting position, which is also easy on the leg joints. The upholstered seat provides additional comfort. In addition, the new Bobby-AMG now has a knee recess again, so that even older children can enjoy the ride for longer. In both versions, the seat pad is removable; in the LED version, the battery compartment for the lighting is located underneath.
A success story for over 20 years:
The different generations of the Bobby-Benz and the Bobby-AMG
In 1996, the first Bobby-Benz saw the light of day, the SLK model. Two further generations of the Bobby-Benz SLK followed in 2004 and 2008, followed three years later by the 4th generation: a variant in the form of an SLS AMG. In 2016 and 2019, the first two Bobby-AMG models based on the AMG GT were realised in the fifth and sixth generation. All Bobby Cars are made in Germany and are manufactured by BIG Spielwarenfabrik, the manufacturer of the original Bobby Cars.
The new Bobby-AMG GT children's ride-on cars with and without LED lighting are designed for children aged 18 months and older. The order numbers are B66962013 for the Bobby-AMG GT in hyper blue (with LED lighting) and B66962012 for the Bobby-AMG GT in sun yellow.
